GOVERNANCE ACROSS THE MAT

Governance of the Trust is crucial.  The expertise of the outstanding governance that already exists to help support high quality governance is used across the whole trust. 

Directors meet termly as a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) and Governors meet every half term in each school as a Local Governing Body (LGB).  The LGB governors monitor the performance of their students and the teaching and learning in school and then send a report to each MAT meeting where reports are thoroughly discussed.  The MAT ensures that any school/academy that needs it, gets support for students to help them succeed and that teaching and learning continues to improve.

To support continuity, Chairs of Local Governing Bodies are also Directors of the Trust along with a number of independent colleagues.
